Wentworth "Buck" Eaton
Senior Pastor
Buck Eaton’s spiritual journey began during his early years when he found his faith in the Lord. At the age of 16, he started attending Lakewood Church, led by Pastor John Osteen. Following his college years, he embarked on a career in the financial services industry, working for a prominent Wall Street firm for many years.
At the age of 40, Buck answered the call of God that had resonated within him since he was just 7 years old and transitioned into full-time ministry. This new chapter in his life involved pastoral work and extensive travel. Over the span of two decades, he has faithfully continued this calling.
Today, Buck serves as the pastor of Sweetwater Church in Sugar Land, TX, and also oversees a satellite home church in McAllen, TX. His journey into ministry was catalyzed by a profound experience—a vision of the heavenly throne room and an overwhelming outpouring of divine love. In that moment, Jesus spoke to him, saying, “Take this love and share it with my people.” Buck has been on a mission to spread this love ever since.
In addition to his ministry, Buck is a proud father to four amazing adult children.

Praise the Lord Jesus Christ
Today, February 21, 2024, marks 20 years since we planted Sweetwater Church in Sugar Land, TX, in our upstairs game room. It's been an incredible ride with the Lord and God's beautiful sons and daughters! From the start, in my own house, for 9 months, then on to the trailers for 5 years, then back to the house and the hotel for 2 plus years, from there we went to the Upper Room location for 3 years and now in our current location on Williams Trace in SL for the past 9 years. There are so many people to thank along the way, but the one person I must mention who encouraged me to launch forth and encouraged me to press on during the dark days is Chris Harvey. He has always stood by me and believed what God was doing in me and through me. Thank you Chris!! And above all, I thank God, my Father and His son, Jesus Christ, my Lord, who has been overwhelmingly faithful all of these years.
